Diversity in Computer Science and Engineering
The Berkeley Foundation for Opportunities in Information Technology (BFOIT) is committed to increasing the number of historically underrepresented ethnic minorities and women pursuing careers in computing and IT. We do so by providing youth with the knowledge, resources, practical programming skills and guidance necessary to pursue bachelors and advanced degrees in computer science and engineering. We work in partnership with colleagues and organizations in the Bay area to provide educational programs that expose middle and high school students to the beauty, joy and promising future of computing. BFOIT is working actively on the development of new programs to be implemented in 2016 and beyond - please contact us here - firstname.lastname@example.org, if you are interested in participating in our planning activities.
