How things have changed... I can't imagine any cruise line letting a passenger climb the rigging these days. But in the mid-1970s the crew of the Flying Cloud had no problem with me climbing a mast.
Three guys were working on the front sail so I climbed the middle mast to watch, see what they were doing.
